Finance Assistance | If you require financing, please inform us early in the process to ensure your agreement is subject to finance approval. Otherwise, we'll assume you have the necessary funds available at the scheduled payment dates.

Payment (In-Stock) | For in-stock or near-completion yachts, full payment is required to secure. You'll then receive the Hull Identification Number (HIN) and a photo of the Australian Builders Plate (ABP) affixed to your vessel. We'll also assist with registration, insurance, and delivery arrangements.

Payments (BTO) | For Built-to-Order yachts, a fully refundable a 50% deposit secures your yacht in our production schedule. However, 14 days prior to build commencement or in build is underway, this deposit becomes non-refundable if you cancel.  The remaining 50% is due 60 days prior build completion and to ensure motor & electrical system installation is not delayed.  You'll also then receive the Hull Identification Number (HIN) and a photo of the Australian Builders Plate (ABP) affixed to your vessel.  Rest assured, throughout the production process we'll keep you updated and we're here to assist with registration, insurance and delivery arrangements when that exciting time comes.

Australia-Wide Delivery - We offer Australia-wide delivery. Please obtain a delivery quote or indicative price at the time of order, or prior to delivery if you're uncertain about the boat's berthing location. Ensure you have a suitable berth size at a marina or private jetty before delivery. Australian standards mandate that the pontoon/jetty/berth be at least 80% of the vessel's size. Standard pricing includes mooring lines required for berthing. Package upgrades include all mandatory and highly recommended safety equipment.

Handover | When your boat is ready for delivery and handover, set aside a few hours on the confirmed date. We'll provide a thorough walk-through, demonstration, and hands-on experience at the helm. Remember to bring your boat license. Most importantly, you'll receive the keys to your new vessel and a special gift from us to make your maiden voyage unforgettable.

Enhancing Confidence | While our yachts are designed for intuitive operation, we highly recommend extended training to gain confidence, situational awareness, and hands-on experience. We encourage all clients to pursue training through a local provider on their own boat. This approach is more time-efficient and effective, and we're happy to assist with arranging it.

Consumers are not entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the consumer guarantees if:

  • they got what they asked for but simply changed their mind, found the product cheaper somewhere else, or decided they didn't like the purchase or had no use for it. However, if a business has a ‘change of mind’ policy, they must follow it.
  • the problem with the product was caused by the consumer misusing it.
  • they knew of or were made aware of the problem with the product before they bought it (but they may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for a different problem with the product that wasn’t made clear to them before they bought it).
  • asked for a service to be done in a certain way against the advice of the business.
  • the problem with a service was caused by the actions of someone other than the business.

Warranty Terms

Standard Warranty | Shall include a 6 Year Outboard Motor Warranty through Mercury Marine, subject to their Terms & Conditions, 5 Year Structural Warranty on the hull and Yacht superstructure and 2 years General warranty on fittings and appliances installed by Waveform Yachts and included at the time of purchase.  Appliance and equipment (supplied) warranty is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions.  Warranty claims must be submitted via the Owern’s Hub portal of our Website so you can upload photos, a description of fault or claim, proof and date of purchase.  The Company needs to be notified within five (5) business days of discovering the fault/defect in the Goods and you should not knowingly continue to use the Goods or Part(s).

Standard Warranty Limitations | Standard Warranty does not include onsite warranty, nor does it include servicing or onsite servicing.  It is the customer’s responsibility to return or make the Goods reasonably available and reasonably accessible to the Company’s authorised representative for inspection.  Work performed on the Goods must be done so by the Company or an authorised Company representative with the written approval of the Company.  For avoidance of doubt, do not authorise a contractor to carry out repairs on behalf of the Company.  It shall be at the Company’s discretion whether to repair or replace the faulty parts (as per ACL), if warranty work is carried out by the Company.  The Customer shall allow a reasonable time for the warranty claim to be assessed and if required, for the work to be performed.

Onsite Warranty | Applies to 5 Year Structural Warranty on the hull and Yacht superstructure and 2 years General warranty on fittings and appliances installed by Waveform Yachts and included at the time of purchase.  The Goods must also be reasonably accessible to the Company’s authorised representative for inspection at a Marina Berth, Jetty or Slipway or Shipyard.  Warranty claims must be submitted via the Owner’s Hub portal of our Website so you can upload photos, a description of fault or claim, proof and date of purchase.  The Company needs to be notified within five (5) business days of discovering the fault/defect in the Goods and you should not knowingly continue to use the Goods or Part(s).

Onsite Warranty Exclusions | Reasonably accessible does not include from a mooring, beached location, stranded, adift, sunk or sinking.  It is the customers responsibility to ensure the vessel is reasonably accessible which may need to be towed or recovered at the customer's cost, not the Company.  General exclusions also apply to onsite warranty.

General Exclusions | Applies to both Standard and Onsite Warranty.  General exclusions mean that warranty shall not apply to ordinary wear and tear, acceptable degradation due to the elements and the marine environment or items that have been unreasonably used, overused until damaged or failure or where damage or failure has resulted from lack of scheduled maintenance or servicing.  Nor does the warranty apply to modifications, improper use, unsafe use or use contrary to laws and operational instructions or guides provided by the Company, the equipment manufacturer, or directions from authorities and or government including marine agencies weather bulletins. Nor do we cover warranty claims arising from improper use, use of the vessels outside of the scope of intended use or purpose and use whilst over intoxicated or under the influence of illicit drugs.  For accident damage or damage due to weather or insurable events, do not attempt to put in a warranty claim with us.  For avoidance of doubt, if the Customer leaves or stores the Goods allowing weather/water ingress through open doors or hatches, stores without storm covers, this damage will not be covered by warranty and the Customer should contact their respective insurer. Warranty applies to the original purchaser by default and is not transferable to a 3rd party without the prior written approval of the Company, which may involve an assessment of the Goods at the Customer’s cost, resulting in a notice to the buyer and seller of any specific exclusions and limitations placed on the 'transferred warranty'.  There is no warranty for commercial use such as for commercial rental, hire or charter.  The Company is not liable for any costs associated with or arisen from a warranty matter such as but not limited to accommodation, recovery, towing, rescue and transport.  No other Agent, Supplier, Reseller or Representative has the right to accept warranty claims on behalf of the Company.  If the Customer knowingly continues to use the faulty/defective Goods or part(s) which causes subsequent faults, the subsequent faults will not be covered.  We do not cover the incomplete or unsatisfactory work of unauthorised repairers.  We do not cover antifouling or zinc sacrificial anodes as both require replacement as per the Operations Manual Maintenance guidelines.

Returns | Changing your mind on make, model, size, colour, wrongful selection or simply no longer needing the Goods once ordered, is not grounds for a refund.  See below on Australian Consumer Law (ACL).  Please ensure you are committed to the purchase and have selected carefully and that the Goods suit your needs and circumstances.

ACCC: In addition to our warranty, Customers are covered by ACL.  However, Customers/consumers may not always be entitled to a refund, replacement or repair if they change their mind and in other circumstances according to the ACCC.  The following extract is taken directly from their website:-
